Chew Yu Shen, LL.B

is a senior legal practitioner with in depth experience in the areas of corporate and commercial, real estate and property as well as technology and telecoms. He graduated from Hull University in 1998. He worked initially with Skrine as a Legal Associate in 2000 and was subsequently made a Senior Legal Associate before leaving Skrine in 2006 to join Ed Soo, Lew & Shen as a partner. He formed Shen & Partners with Eow Khean Fatt in 2009 which was renamed Shen, Eow & Partners in 2010.

Yu Shen provides legal services in a variety of legal areas and transactions. He advises clients with wide ranging backgrounds and from different industries. In the area of corporate and commercial as well as real estate and property work, his experience includes acting for several private and public listed companies in mergers and acquisitions exercises and joint-venture transactions and also acting for established property developers in the acquisition and disposal of land for development. He also regularly drafts and negotiates a whole range of commercial contracts for companies involved in a variety of businesses, including manufacturing, trading, retail, services, construction and building materials.

His technology experience includes having advised local and foreign banks in the implementation of internet banking services at the advent of internet banking in Malaysia as well as acted for established service providers and customers in several large and complex IT outsourcing deals. As for telecoms work, he regularly advises international telecoms carriers/ providers on telecoms-related regulations and compliance in Malaysia.
