Low Ee Hsien, LL.B, ACA

Hsien is a corporate and tax practitioner whose legal work is underpinned by a substantial background in finance and chartered accountancy. Her practice covers corporate advisory and tax, including tax policy work in the areas of Transfer Pricing, Capital Gains Tax and Sales and Service Tax, as well as tax disputes such as capital allowances matters before the Inland Revenue Board.

She was educated at the University of Nottingham and admitted as a Barrister of the Inner Temple in 2010. She began her career in London, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2014, and over the following years gained wide experience across assurance and risk management, tax and transaction services with PwC and KPMG. She subsequently held risk management and internal audit roles with ACCA and the British Council, and a corporate role as Financial Controller at Kaplan International, where her work spanned financial governance, cross-border tax and acquisition due diligence.

Hsien returned to Malaysia in late 2023 and resumed her legal career. Her finance-led background brings a practical and commercially aware approach to corporate and tax matters, with particular attention to the financial impact of any advice or decision.
