One of the key sessions during the meeting was a panel discussion on the Hong Kong Capital Markets by 3 eminent speakers, Julia Charlton, Anna Zhu and John Wong. The session was moderated by RLSE Managing Partner, Loong Caesar who said in his opening remarks that Hong Kong was a the top performer in IPO’s in 2018, surpassing the New York Stock Exchange and continued to remain an unrivalled IPO and Capital Markets originator given its unique ecology of expertise, financial institutions, global connections and the rule of law.
Other interesting topics covered during the 2 day meeting were Family Wealth Protection using trusts and insurance, and a keynote lunch address by former Judge of Hong Kong’s Court of Final Appeal, Michael Hartmann.

As expected of the organisers, Boase, Cohen & Collins, guests were grandly treated to a welcome dinner at the Old Bailey and a lavish gala dinner at the China Club where they had a first hand account of the genesis of the 6 month old street protests in Hong Kong, by popular legco lawmaker, Dennis Kwok.
